Psychedeli feels like it should serve pretty good coffee. And others certainly approve. But after trying it a dozen times or more, I have to conclude that I just can’t agree. The coffee’s probably half-drinkable in the guise of a flat white or cappuccino, but for a black coffee freak it is really not at all up to scratch.

I haven’t tried their food, so this rating is just for the coffee.

Since Remi has come under new management the food, service, and most of the coffee has improved tremendously. I recommend everyone go and try it.

  • Mooreish

This feels like any other run of the mill office café, but I was greeted with a smile and served an entirely decent art-topped double macchiato (including a query from the barista as to how I would like it). You can do a lot worse than that.

A bit burnt was the coffee here. May have been an off day so will try again.

Office building café with an Italian-themed menu, which they pursue with gusto: the waiter went so far as to present our meals along with their description in Italian. This was ultimately confusing and didn’t make up for their over-priced (but otherwise…

A pleasant bottom-of-the-office-block café: warm, carpeted, comfortable seating. Decent breakfast menu, but average coffee and scattered, somewhat unfriendly staff.

Hutton Street & Childers Street, The Australian National University, Canberra ACT 2601, Australia

I visited the Dessert Castle expecting just another dessert bar, but instead found a complete café experience, styled more like a Taiwanese desserts nightclub. Their hook is the wall lined with froyo dispensers, but they also do coffee, and they seem to…
