Drinkable, nothing special.
Pattison’s, Westfield Hornsby
Well-made coffee, on the mild side. Pattison’s bills itself as a “patisserie, fine bakery and cafe”. Good pitstop for shopping sustenance.
Donut King Hornsby Westfield
This is the DK upstairs, outside Target. Once again a chain outlet hits the mark: consistently strong, tasty, hot coffee, made with care by a trained operator. Many smart cafés could learn.
Passable flat white, but I imagine there’s better coffee somewhere here in the centre.
Thyme Square Cafe
A skilled barista gets the best out of the Toby’s Estate gear. This place is a little different with a touch of European formality. If your Hungarian great-aunt is a caff-fiend, this is the place.
Olive Bar & Grill
As with the adjacent Cafe Florence, this is a busy lunch spot that also turns out a damn good takeaway coffee. (This place used to be called Julians)
A licensed cafe serving the mainstream dining trade on the Florence Street mall under DJs. Can’t comment about the food, but the coffee is richly flavoured and consistently well-made.
