Lamason
Tucked away in a back alley carpark, Lamason is a little hard to find but well worth seeking out. The owners spent and excited half an hour chatting with us about their various brewing implements after serving up a range of delicious caffeinated drinks. Lovely.
I wasn’t a black coffee drinker before Dave introduced me to siphon but I must say that the brew method coupled with the people’s roasted beans really does it for me.
Dave is an excellent show man and barista. I see him talk to customers about his coffee with such passion that it makes me want to join the Lamason crew just to be a part of it.
Lamason brew bar is a must see. It’s a fantastic coffee experience with service unsurpassed in my view.
Excellent coffee prepared in a multitude of ways by a supremely knowledgeable, friendly barista/proprietor. A must visit for coffee lovers.
Dave loves siphon. So he’s started Wellington’s first Siphon Bar (though of course you can get any kind of espresso drink as well). It’s not long opened at the time of writing: food choices are limited but sufficient - just some blokey pies and sandwiches with a few sweets to have with the coffee.
Beautifully designed space; very friendly service… and the best siphon-brewed coffee in Wellington.
