I heartily endorse this product or service.

This is a good choice. Cruisy feeling and good coffee. There are a few good looking coffee oddities on the menu.

A decent walk from Surfers but well worth it. Buzzing with Friday morning regulars, the ambience was relaxed and inviting. Friendly service, eclectic fit-out and a superb piccolo (or three) – this is how coffee should be crafted and partaken.

A little hidden among the fading ’70s highrises, Elk is everything you’d expect from a hipster Melbourne café if you shifted it to the beach — plywood benches and terrariums abound. Thankfully they have the coffee to match. Lovely espresso that’d probably hard to beat if you’re in the Broadbeach area.

I’m at Elk Espresso on the Gold Coast sitting amongst the retired seniors, barefoot hipsters, mothers clubs and tatted-up surfers. With the glorious blue skies and the slow paced lifestyle, any sort of person is a pleasure to be around here.

The two minute walk to the beach, fresh flowers on every table and the open shop front all make Elk a wondrous spot in the world to enjoy a sensational coffee.

It becomes evident to me that the popularity of this cafe is propelled by the genuine smiles of the staff. I know the perfect weather up here lifts everyone’s mood, but the woman serving me also injected a bit of her joy into my day.

My coffee was quick to arrive, hot and pretty looking. Mild in intensity and rich in flavour. Personally, I like a decent froth on a latte and this kept me smiling.

Somehow, as I sit here with the warm taste of coffee on my palate, humans seem just that little more beautiful.

The barista is either skillful to the upmost or just sprinkled a bit of ecstasy in to my cup.

Pretty damn decent for a caffeinating automaton (though the 2 hours of sleep may have swayed my opinion).
