Best espresso in Canberra. Other styles are exceptional also.

A beautiful rich long black- and heated properly. One of the best in Canberra.

Probably the best decaf coffee in Canberra City. Worth it.

Nestled in the atrium of one the city’s many public service offices, Loui is a stalwart of the Canberra coffee scene. Rumour has it that to be a barista there you have to have studied in Italy, which explains the preponderance of swarthy European gentlemen behind the bar. Unfortunately the coffee doesn’t match up to the lofty heights they aim for. Decent enough, but there are more interesting places nearby.

Loui looks like a pretty standard office building café, but upon entering, you’ll find some friendly table service and a wonderfully airy atrium in which to enjoy some of their well-made Genovese coffee.

Reasonable flat whites, the hot chocolate is sickly sweet. Open late for all your carb-hunting needs.

A nicely flavoured take away flat white brightened up my Monday morning. I’m sure I’ll be a regular at Nookie in a post-Tupelo world, it’s great to see new places pop up in this part of town.

Great coffee, food, staff and price. This is my daily go to.

Don’t be put off by the other comments here, they are the same ones that rated McDonalds 2.5 stars!

Enticed by the distinctive red Illy sign hanging outside, I popped in for a coffee. The place was open but empty, and they clearly were not used to customers coming in for coffee only. I placed my order and let the girl get to work behind the red Illy m…
