Urban Roast
I wish it tasted as good as it looked. Also I really dislike cups with handles for midget fingers!
I’ve only tried them once on a weekend - my flat white was a bit bitter and made me wish I’d ordered full cream milk to even it out.
This used to be a great place when it was Hansel & Gretel and run by a lovely Asian couple. At that time it had the best coffee in Belco.
Now it looks more stylish, but it’s now become a typical bogan outlet in true belco style.
The ‘barista’, which I say loosely, had no idea what a double ristretto was, and was about to order me two coffees. When we finally got it figured out, the double shot cost me a whopping $4.20.
The quality didn’t match the price tag. Not very smooth and a bit watered down feeling.
Lucky I work in the city, pity I live in belco…
7am and the tradies are grabbing their bacon and egg rolls before the workday, and yuppies like me are finishing their workouts. My doppio was a little thin for my preferences, but the crema’s good, as is the presentation. They have a bunch of different beans available so worth experimenting. Bonus: old womens’ magazines (that’s old magazines, not magazines for old women) on the wall. Also seems to do a range of hearty breakfasts and lunches.
Rudest cafe. I usually get served by a girl named Rhi who i have a good report with, always serves me with a smile and has upstanding customer service. She had recommended that I should come for lunch there sometime.
When I did turn up for lunch time today I was told by what appeared to be a member of management to: “go elsewhere cos Rhi was busy.”
I have worked in hospitality and I still do work in the electronic retail industry so i know all about customer service. Honestly, how do you expect to run a cafe with such hostile attitudes towards customers? Further more if you are to treat a customer like that, I can not imagine how you would treat your staff. Absolutely disgraceful.
Would never recommend to anyone.
