Velo Republic
Velo recently switched off their free WiFi, so Im dropping a star. Bittersweet, round the corner, is a good alternative.
Consistently great cappuccino. They also do wicked things with their brownies on cooler mornings.
Velo uses Grinders coffee, and does the best double shots in Kingston. It is also less popular than some other cafes, so its often easy to get a table. Good opening hours, free wifi, and a stylish bike shop are all it favour.

Really great cappuccino. Good place to go on a Sunday to avoid the crowds also.
Had a lovely, smooth espresso this morning. Design mags and bicycles abound. Minus one star for using Papyrus for their logo.
First time I tried this place it was diabolical, but they’ve upped their game and the espresso is smooth, medium strong and served with good cheer. Recommended.
This cafe has only been around for a few months but has superb coffee, great atmosphere and friendly staff! Very cool antique bicycles and design magazines.

Decent strong latte with a bitter edge that tasted like grinds rather than from the extraction but I didn’t mind; didn’t experience others’ seating issues as we were outside. Popular spot - we got the only vacant table.

Pretty acceptable espresso, served in one of those wire-handled glass cups, although the wait was long and the coffee was losing its crema by the time it arrived. Perhaps a better choice when it’s not busy.
