Best coffee in town, no question. I highly recommend their Cortado and Latte.

There are perhaps less than five places in Berlin where espresso lovers can actually drink coffee properly. Freshly ground beans and carefully poured extractions are not exactly common amongst a sea of generic Bäckereien and Kaffeemaschinen.

Just as you would hunt down the best Cantonese food by looking for the places where the old Chinese people frequent; so too with the best coffee — look for the place where the Italians, Australians, and New Zealanders frequent. This is it.

They serve great Flat Whites as well as everything you’d normally expect, singles or doubles. Counter food is limited to Kuchen — the carrot cake is as good as you’d find anywhere. The place is small — more an espresso bar than a café per-se, but the home-made outdoor furniture vibes perfectly with the surrounding street. Both staff and customers are super-friendly.

Great little bakery café using Bonanza Coffee Heroes beans. Katie can make a mean coffee, but the service from the other staff can be a bit patchy.

Make sure to have a biccie with your bevvie!

Hidden inside this awesome clothes/design store/space is a café serving very excellent coffee. There’s very little seating space but if you’re at Kotbusser Tor and after a good takeaway or espresso then you’re in luck.

Betahaus is a cafe attached to a popular co-working space in Kreuzberg. It’s a really lovely space with free wifi, and a pretty amazing crowd of itinerant creative types who gather here to meet, collaborate, and check in online.

    The coffee is really…
