Nice to see another cafe fill the space of Rouge Espresso Bar on this side of Narrabundah shops. Mint Rd has a smart new fit out, and tables spread over the footpath, which is nice and shady in the summer months. A small menu of jaffles and a couple of light Italian dishes is on offer. The jaffles are not bad, and the coffee palatable, but sadly nothing to go out of your way for: my macchiato was over-milky and still too bitter.

Mint Rd have done the hard work (minimalist new fitout, even an embryonic website), so there’s every chance they’ll get better over the next few months as they attend to some opening week shortcomings. The coffee - well-made cappuccino but served in bogan-sized containers (my fault for not specifying perhaps - when did buckets become the default size?) The background music - on the execrable side of MoR. And the temperature - you’re on the cold side of Narrabundah in the first week of August - some heating inside and out might attract a few more punters.

A fine-dining establishment at the Narrabundah shops, D’Browes has excellent slow cooked lamb shanks, but only halfway decent coffee. Smooth and tasty enough, but lacking strength.

Whilst my order was not quite understood, overall the coffee was a great compliment to a very good meal. The chocolate & terra-cotta pallet used successfully in the decor was matched well to the choice of bean. Would order here again.

Generally good coffee, excellent pizza, and since its expansion, much easier to get a seat.

Pies were better than Mrs Macs, but artificially thickened and not something I would choose to eat.
Our coffee order didn’t resemble what we asked for (caps not flat whites), and I ended up with sugar in my coffee. Despite that the coffee itself wasn’t…
