Watery and lacked taste a big miss!

You may need sugar to get rid of the burnt taste. Passable for the desperate or those more interested in location and hot chocolate.

An excellent place to sit in the sun and have a delicious sandwich. Not a great place for coffee however. Burnt and rather listless.

Stopped by for a quiet Friday morning break. My double macchiato has just the right volume, but unfortunately the milk was mixed right through. Otherwise it was a nice, smooth coffee.

Check this place out for lunch too. Great variety of made-to-order sandwiches.

Hipster bookshop that also serves coffee, and turns into a wine bar on Thursday and Friday nights. My espresso was quite drinkable, but I daresay it would vary by barista.

Nice enough, but there are some nicer options around if you’re just hanging out for coffee. Italian restaurant.

The original restaurant run by the Trimboli family is sometimes outshone by the hype surrounding Italian and Sons, but I think the food here now is as good as it’s ever been. And complemented by a terrific, dense, viscous, creamy macchiato.

This hole-in-the-wall shares a kitchen with the neighbouring (and much more expensive) Mezzalira. It sells a variety of toasted focaccia as well as coffee. The coffee today was fine but a little under-extracted and I found myself wishing I’d ordered a p…
