If you’re even a semi-regular here, Phil will know your name and coffee and you’ll feel welcome whenever you’re there. I worked up the street from Koko for a while and after a couple of weeks I ordered my morning coffee by nodding and saying good morning when I walked in. Although it’s true I got some rare duff coffees, the quality is normally very high. Phil also does a great chai.

Great coffee, very friendly staff. I get takeaway brekkie and coffee from this place on the way to work a few times a week.

Phil makes one of the best coffee in Surry Hills in my opinion. When our office was near by I was there twice a day for 2 years, and got a bad coffee maybe only a handful of times.
Not the best place to sit and drink, but certainly a good takeaway coffee none the less.

Picked up a pretty well-made macchiato here, along with some grilled fish for lunch. Both were pleasing enough to consume, but nothing exceptional.

Great little corner cafe with that funky Surry Hills vibe. My 3/4 double shot latte tasted great, full flavoured and caramely, but the foam contained several disconcertingly large bubbles.

Working here after 3:30pm on a weekday was a good option, sin…
