Average coffee, good to poor service. Food is average - decent selection. Large outdoor seating area.

Not bad - I’ve had a lot worse. Service is quick.

One of a few half-decent cafés at the Australian National University. The baked-on-site muffins are possibly the biggest in the observable universe, and the coffee is decent, though not great.

If you’re after a cosy place on campus to sit and ponder I’d choose The Gods Café instead but The Purple Pickle is worth a visit—especially if you want to sit out in the sunshine.

Good, strong long black. More limited food options than a proper pickle. Almond croissant is the perfect way to start the day though.

Surprisingly OK flat white at the Discovery Centre. Unfortunately it was located in a noisy cafeteria.

Teatro Vivaldi has three different areas, I sat outside at “Teatro under the Willows al fresco cafe”. The coffee cart is in a marquee and there are plenty of sitting space. On a lovely slighty breezy afternoon, it’s nice to relax in the shadow of the gi…

Gruff service (they weren’t even busy) and putrid coffee. Come to the ANU School of Arts to see some interesting exhibitions, not for their café.
