Coffee was OK - nothing mind-blowing. Cafe itself was quite nice and food looked good.

Nice relaxed café on High St with a warren-like series of back rooms and a sun-filled courtyard that wasn’t very sun-filled when I visited. Packed out for Saturday brunch, I didn’t try the food, but it did look rather tasty. Their coffee was a touch burnt with that sort of heaviness you often get with a long black, tasty nonetheless.

One of the few beautiful old cinemas still in operation, the Palace Westgarth is a lovely place to watch a film, but less so for drinking coffee. The long black I’m currently sipping on is burnt and not altogether pleasant. At least there’s free WiFi.

Really nice coffee in a really hipster atmosphere. Oh northcote, you don’t disappoint.

A pretty solid brew, no bitterness to the blend.
