Brooklyn Parlour is a beautifully fitted New York themed café and bar in the basement of the Marui Annex department store in the Shinjuku-Sanchome area. A comfortable, expansive space, filled with comfy leather couches and plenty of raw timber and exposed bricks. The walls are lined with books and jazz posters (the café is run by the same folks as Aoyama’s Blue Note jazz club).

I enjoyed a really nice, smooth macchiato, along with a DELICIOUS burger from their NY-themed menu. This place is a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth checking out. Our visit was probably one of the most relaxing and revitalising café experiences we had in Japan.
