I agree with the first review… Excellent coffee, I especially like the signs inside that say “no soy, no skim, no lite milk” and “cash only”, they’re the ‘soup nazi’ of the coffee world and only make coffee how it should be made, they deserve respect for that!
This place is a classic Italian institution. It’s been here since before Norton St was famous. In fact it made Norton St famous. I might be exaggerating, but then again perhaps not.
Great old-school Italian style coffee, good value pasta dishes and amazing gelato.

Update: had a nice Spanish omelette for breakfast, (but, to coin a phrase, not epic). Milky coffees weren’t quite as good as I’d hoped, but the double espresso I had was still pretty good.
Service was also a little on the slow side. -

The cafe is inside the bookshop. Coffee is pretty ordinary and the food ain’t that great either. Working here is also cramped and uncomfortable although they do have free wifi.
