Delissio Brasserie
The long black here is middling to good. A little weak maybe. The breakfasts are excellent so the combination of food and coffee make this a worthwhile option. But if it is just coffee you are after head around the corner into Lonsdale St.
Well-presented, competent but unremarkable espresso, accompanied by an unneeded biscuity thing. Delissio in Braddon suffers from uneven waiting staff, but the food and drink are good. They have a truly diabolical (and by diabolical, I mean fantastic) Quebec French Toast available at breakfast, involving a croissant and bacon.
A word of advice for purveyors of caffeinated beverages: make your takeaway orders first. People who order takeaway want to get out of there as quickly as possible—if I’d wanted to spend 15 minutes at a café I would’ve found a seat and read the paper.
At the very least let your customers know when it’s going. Good thing the coffee was pretty decent when it finally arrived.
The cappuccinos are always good, plus the little biscuit that comes with it is also yum.
Consistently tasty long macchiatos. The only shame is that they come in porcelain cups. I like to see what I drink.
